We had the opportunity to sit down and speak with Alex Roberto. Alex serves as the Managing Director and Solutions Lead for the Professional Services division of Phaxis. A 20-year veteran of the banking industry, Alex brings industry expertise to the ongoing battle against financial crime.
1. What is your professional background?
I’ve spent the last twenty years leading large and complex business units within the Top 10 U.S. Banks, scaling operations to drive compliance and efficiency by streamlining processes, implementing automation, redesigning operating models and delivering on C-level strategic initiatives.
My last role was leading Commercial KYC operations and Client Service for a large bank. I am a CAMS-certified professional with lots of passion for protecting our people and institutions from the threat of financial crime.

My goal is to add value to the anti-money laundering community by providing thought leadership, empathy and partnership in tackling our toughest industry challenges.
5. What do you enjoy doing on your personal time?
I love creating memories and new experiences with my wife, our two kids and our Shorkie pup. I also enjoy endurance athletics and have completed 5 marathons and a full Ironman in recent years.
